i never used FileMaker, since MAC Machines are quite rare in Brazil,

but i have in mind that FileMaker only exists for MAC and Windows, not for Linux.

The only manners taht i imagine,, for using FileMaker, in your comp. with sabayon:

1) You need an Double Boot system, Sabayon with Windows or

2) Install FileMaker for Windows in the Wine package.

at the level of my knownledge, Linux not have Databases compatible with Filemaker and Filemaker not have Linux equivalents.
you should use Filemaker under Windows, or the Windows version of Filemaker EXE, installed "into" an Wine Windows emulator.

I am not familiar with FileMaker, but if you can export your database in an sql format, most probably you can import it to mysql, mariadb or even sqlight. From the description you give, your database appears to be not to complex. You can even try a migration from FM to Libre/OpenOffice Base, check this post and Google for it ;-)
