How do I install the LXDE version of Sabayon? There doesn't seem to be a live cd for this.

sure there is:
ftp://na.mirror.garr.it/mirrors/sabayon ... 4_LXDE.iso
other iso's:
ftp://na.mirror.garr.it/mirrors/sabayonlinux/iso/daily/
But on a terminal, as root,
using

Code: Select all

equo search lxde

you should be able to install LXDE
Please read the wiki, Entropy-section in specific.....

You can install LXDE from running Sabayon with:

Code: Select all

equo install @lxde

This applies to all the other DEs too. It's possible to have multiple DEs installed.

Thanks- the live CD is what I am looking for. This is for an old, slow laptop, so I don't want multiple desktops on it.

It would be nice if the download page was streamlined. Currently you have to sift through file lists on various mirrors to find what you are looking for. I would be nice if you could just click on the Sabayon version you are looking for, then choose from a list of direct links to it on the mirrors that have it.
