NOOOOOB!!!! just a couple of quick....(Solved)

Postby AML1967 » Fri Dec 01, 2006 12:25

and probably foolish questions.

I am on the live cd (3.1) I have spent the last month or so reading up on the forum and the wiki so as not to appear ....ummm you get the drift. This is a very exciting and visually arresting distro, I cant imagine the work that doing something like this entails but my hat is off to you Devs. OUTSTANDING!!!!

that being said before I install I wondered?

I finally got my res to where I like it on the cd, when I install will it install with those settings?

I am either blind or clueless because from everything I have read I seem to be the only person using a generic usb 5 button mouse that I would like to have set to make the side buttons go back and forward a page

Are there any uncompatible dvd burners out there cause I have a Panasonic DVD burner in a Sony destop that flat out doesnt work

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

For setting up your mouse you are probably gonna have to search for a tutorial or something on your particular mouse. You will have to set-up your buttons in xorg.conf if they are not detected properly.

DVDBurn problems? Yours won't burn or read? As long as it can read/write it shouldn't be a problem regardless of the brand.
