Video appears green in OpenShot

Postby operative.terminus » Sun Dec 18, 2011 20:44

Hi,

I downloaded OpenShot from the repositories, and it works flawlessly except that all video has a green hue. If I use the remove green filter the video becomes black & white. I have tried multiple file types and the results are the same. I've tried exporting video in various file formats, and the video always comes out green.

Any idea what could be wrong?

EDIT: I downloaded Kdenlive and it has the same problem. When I view videos in VLC they appear normal, but when I try to edit them in either of the above mentioned programs they appear green.

Same with me, I am using Openshot 1.4.0 I get the following error too:

Failed to import 'from openshot import main'

I reinstalled gstreamer and mlt, nothing fixes it.

If you want to see what it looks like you can see the results here:

This is unacceptable.

Edit:
The OP mentioned that the same thing happens in KDEnlive which is also based on MLT.

I believe that might be where the problem is:

Looks like the problem might be this.

How do install a newer version of MLT than what is in entropy?
