Thunar slow start and two instances

Post by deadDrift » Wed Feb 08, 2012 13:46

I'm running up-to-date Sabayon with 3.2 kernel and XFCE on 64bit.

A week or so ago, I noticed this strange behavior. After I login and start Thunar (from the menu or a dock) for the first time, it starts very slow, 26 seconds to display the window. Then six seconds later a second Thunar window displays. This is the only application exhibiting this behavior.

I close both windows and start Thunar again and one instance opens in less than a second. Like it is suppose to do.

Any ideas why Thunar is starting two instances the first time I run it in a session?

thanks,

I have same situation. Thunar delays 30 seconds before first run. It doesn`t give any clues in terminal. I guess this might be related to network protocol somehow.
EDIT: the solution seems to be edit /usr/shares/gvfs/mounts/network.mount, and set AutoMount=false
