Does Sabayon have a toram "cheat code"?

None is listed in the WIKI.

Not sure, but you could try using docache (Gentoo's equivalent of Knoppix's toram boot parameter).

I tried toram as a boot parameter and it had no effect.

I tried docache as a boot parameter and the screen goes black, it stops reading from the DVD and just sits there doing nothing.

Does your machine have enough RAM to hold the entire uncompressed image from the LiveDVD? Maybe that's the reason docache doesn't work.
