Installed versions:  3.11.7(09:41:30 AM 08/29/2011)(X acl fax hpcups hpijs libnotify parport policykit qt4 scanner snmp static-ppds -doc -kde -minimal)
     Homepage:            http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html

As well there are ebuilds of the hplip-plugin in other overlays: http://gpo.zugaina.org/net-print/hplip-plugin
Just give it a try...

Add: It should be possible to install the plugin via hplip too> open terminal and run
Code: Select all
hp-plugin

From the hplip-page: *Note: you may need to run hp-plugin as root or super user depending on your distro.
