ATI driver issue [Solved]

Postby Stupot » Mon Jul 18, 2011 2:46

After looking around all day, I give up attempting to figure out what is wrong with my htpc. I just get a blinking cursor with a black screen instead of kdm loading.

Here are the relevant files and logs (as far as I am aware)

All of this happened when I upgraded my htpc today via entropy. I don't update it very often and regret doing so today. :/

Re: ATI driver issue [Solved]

This issue was caused by doing a system upgrade without updating entropy first. Gotta remember the basics!

To fix the issue, I needed to reinstall xorg-server via entropy (after it had been updated) and all was well again.
