Broadcom for 2.6.35 removed from entropy

Postby dunsurfin » Wed Jul 13, 2011 18:59

SL 6 K x86 kernel 2.6.35 fully updated

I wasn't paying attention during today's big upgrade and it has removed the broadcom-sta package for the 2.6.35 kernel. I am only able to use the 2.6.35 kernel on my laptop (Dell studio 17") because of a graphics failure on all later kernels ( viewtopic.php?f=53&t=23479 ). Now I can't use the wireless. I have tried sabayon-weekly but the broadcom driver isn't there either. Is there any chance of getting it back?

We dropped older kernels, 2.6.33, 2.6.34 and 2.6.35. Sticking on older kernels because of issues with newer (.36, .37, .38, .39) ones is not the way to go.

That's fair enough. I'll open a new thread to see if I can find an answer to the problem.
