Enlightenment desktop. That was the thing that brought me here. I searched for E17 desktop distributions, and Sabayon headed the list. I drove Elive for a short while, but had some minor problems. The newer, updated Elive won't install to hard drive, unless you pay for an installation file. No one else really offers an Enlightenment desktop environment.
All of that said - I'm using Gnome right now, because Sabayon 6 isn't yet available with Enlightenment. I did attempt to install 5.5 Enlightenment - but ran into troubles. I could probably do it now, after a few botched attempts.
I really want a lightweight desktop. Sure, my computer has enough computing power to run a dozen heavyweight desktops at the same time. But, why? Not to mention, Enlightenment is as pretty, or prettier, than any heavyweight with tons of eyecandy.
