I use KDE the most
I did download the Elive CD so I could try E17 and I really do think it's fun. I need to take a look at the E17 Gentoo wiki previously mentioned.

For me, GNOME is the best and I feel more comfortable to use it.

KDE and XFCE... !!

on KDE , I can use every application available (also for Gnome and XFCE) but on Gnome and XFCE I can't run all applications for KDE (superkaramba for example).

on XFCE, I have some sort of simplicity which can be beautiful but only when the graphics are great.

for KDE , I use SabayonLinux.
for XFCE, I use Dreamlinux.

Those are the only systems on my harddrive.

The reason why I like Sabayonlinux AND Dreamlinux so much together is because they both offer a complete out of the box experience for multimedia/java/flash/codecs etc and they both offer Beryl out of the box now.

Still, I use KDE the most so I boot with Sabayon the most.

I also have tried Elive because they use the "E16" or "E17" desktop environment.
They did a great job , a really great job, but I still don't like Enlightment.

I've used Gnome on Ubuntu but I don't like it... some like Gnome, some don't, I don't :)

Def KDE. Not h8n on Gnome, but I gotta use something right? I ust always stay logged into K.

I get an urge to play with Gnome once in a while, so I do.

Neever really tried any of the others...

Gnome dudes.gnome is stable.I hate it when KDE crashes.not to mention you dont need dbus for anything.
with all the options avalible to kde users,it's no wander they use it,buut I like to tinker with my system, and if you tinker with kde it breaks pretty soon.besides I love metacity, kde hasnt the balls to match up with it.
really,I wonder just how many bugs you would get from a simple gnome/compiz/nvidia system.
then try to match it up with kde/aiglx/beryl/+ati.you'd never get out.lol.
