Sabayon install beyond sda/b/c/d16

Hi,

Can I install Sabayon beyond 16th partition and can I install its grub on its '/'.

No idea about your first question (I thought the limit is 15 partitions for SCSI disks?) but, regarding Grub2, you can install it on the root partition instead of the MBR if you want. I have it installed on a separate boot partition rather than the root partition but, if I didn't have a separate boot partition I would have installed it on the root partition to avoid touching the MBR (for the reasons given in the SL Wiki article HOWTO: Dual boot Sabayon Linux and Windows).

OK, let me make it simple. I have installations till sdc16, wish to install Sabayon on sdc17. Is it possible without hiding partitions from grub? I dont want to change current disk geometry.
