KDE fan here. It would be nice to include other DEs/WMs like XFCE, LXDE, E17, etc in the poll. GNOME and KDE aren't the only choices available. ;)

and if there is a way be able to add more than one vote per turn. as in I use KDE 75-80% and would like to also vote for E-17 and XFCE as my other 20-25%

Definitely prefer Gnome to KDE.

But I use Fluxbox or Openbox most of the time. I don't use KDE if I can avoid it (which I generally can) :D

Used Gnome for about a week ten years ago. KDE since then. Seen Gnome on other peoples computers but prefer KDE by a considerable margin.

I was with KDE 3.5, then switched to GNOME when KDE4 was a total unstable mess and now I am happily back to KDE4.x.
KDE IMHO is far better than GNOME, is better integrated (especially with the compositor) and looks infinitely more beautiful.

The best for me, was to vote in both...
mainly i use KDE, but i enjoy all the graphical environ.
i use GNOME also, but my Sabayon installations are complete, i have XFCE, LXDE, flux, blackbox, E11, compiz, kwin 3 D etc..
packages also, i use amarok, but i also use clementine, exaile...
even shells... i not use only bash, i use bash, zsh and fisk, i use terminals native from each graphica env.
resuming, the correct option for me was NOT KDE, BUT BOTH

It all comes down to personal choice, but I found myself increasingly disliking GNOME during the two years that I used it in parallel with KDE 3. I still use GNOME occasionally but I just prefer the KDE UI and its look and feel.

KDE.
I used Gnome with the first distro I've tried, but since I installed KDE with Sabayon 5.1 I stick with it. The alternative always is E17, but I feel it not grown enogh yet... Still looking for another DE to work with when I need speed (like flux, or someone else..) I think I'll give a try to LXDE...
