anaconda installer fails after the last step [Solved]

Postby judepereira » Tue Jun 15, 2010 0:40

All the steps went fine, but at the last one, where it asks me do I want to keep the other languages or not, no matter what I choose there, it crashes and the following link is a link to the backtrace.

http://www.sabayon.org/pastie/4147

My setup is as follows:
/dev/sda1 swap
/dev/sda2 boot /boot ext3
/dev/sda3 root / ext4

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks in advance

I had installed Sabayon Linux 5.3 and happened like you:

I install all and anaconda show me "configuration completed" and crashed with a bug.

I probed three times and It was equal.

I think that Sabayon Linux must fix the mistakes in this dvd: Sabayon 5.3 x86 K, there is so much bugs.

its not an error actually, i was running it from an unpacked livecd.squashfs from my drive.
it turns out that the cd can't be found. i fixed it, and booted, and it installed just fine :)

here's a link to my tutorial on getting it to work fine from a usb drive:
