Strange creature at boot up [Solved]

Post by spikeyb » Tue Mar 16, 2010 23:08

When I boot into Sabayon, in the top left hand corner of my monitor I see, for an extremely short time period, a cartoon like creature with the soles of it's feet pointing towards me.

Has anyone else noticed this and does anyone know what the creature is? Where is the image stored on the disc?

It's not of major importance, I'm just intrigued.

Ah, so it's Tux. I didn't realise because the feet don't look like Tux's because they are not webbed. They look more like Tuz's but without the claws.

Thanks.

p.s. just took a video and it is Tuz not Tux. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Tuz was the official Linux logo for version 2.6.29 kernel only.
Wikipedia wrote:Tuz was the mascot of the 2009 linux.conf.au conference. It has been chosen by Linus Torvalds as the logo for version 2.6.29 of the Linux kernel to support the effort to save the Tasmanian devil species from extinction[19] due to the Devil facial tumour disease.
