Installing additional packages

Postby sabayonuser2 » Tue Oct 24, 2006 16:49

Hello,

I installed SabayonLinux 3.1 x86 on my computer!

Now I want to install additional software. Is there any possibility to use a package management like in other disrtibutions. I found kuroo, but it shows only the installed packages.....(or only updates to installed packages).... :-(

Is there any possibility to install out of a "software pool". I think of something like this: I start a package management which shows me all packages aviable out of a "software pool" and I can install what I want to have.... very important are the dependencies.

I will start kuroo and hope that additional packages will be there :-)

In kuroo, just go to the portage menu and sync portage.
