Nepomuk Error

Postby catalyst » Wed Mar 03, 2010 8:37

Hi guys, need a little help with the following error.
nepomukerror.png

I've tried the fix @: userbase.kde.org/Akonadi.
No joy there, have tried my best googlefu but have not been able to find anything that deals with this issue.

I'm running :sabayonlinux 5.0-KDE X86 fully updated.
uname -a = Linux catalyst 2.6.33-sabayon #1 SMP Mon Mar 1 18:36:54 UTC 2010 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.93GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux.
equo --version = entropy: 0.99.36.3 equo: 0.99.36.3

If I can provide any other info please ask.
The error is not system critical, just annoying as it pops up every time I boot to DE, I have been looking for some way to disable it so it doesn't auto launch but haven't found a way yet, any help would be appreciated.

This may not be what you want but I always disable nepomuk from "system settings", "advanced", "desktop search" as it's just a waste of space for me.

Thanks for the reply, If I recall correctly I tried that once before but it still managed to start itself up again after reboot but I will try it again anyway in case of PEBKAC.

Yep! it did exactly as predicted, restarted itself upon reboot this evening , damn thing is haunted.
I'll wait to see if anybody else has had the same issue.

Have you tried
Code: Select all
kdesu systemsettings
and doing it from there? I didn't need to do that but it may help.
