eee 901 sabayon core 5.1 [Solved]

Postby le_fleur » Wed Feb 24, 2010 19:24

Just installed sabayon core 5.1 on my eee. Everything seems to work fine apart from two minor problems, the first being that /boot/grub/menu.lst needed vga=788 appending to the kernel line.
The other issue is that i cant get either fn+f1 to suspend or fn+f2 to disable the wireless. Ive checked to make sure the eeepc_laptop is loaded, but beyond that I'm stumped.

Any ideas people?

----
wifi problem was i belive being caused by not unloading the ra2860sta module properly

suspend was fixed by installing the acpi scripts from http://code.google.com/p/acpi-eeepc-generic/

Okay after some playing I've installed the archlinux eeepc acpi scripts and they seem to allow me to disable and reenable wifi without crashing.

Still no joy with getting Fn+F1 to suspend :(
