you have to look for the driver used under windows, so look on the property of the card and see which files it's using

So you mean i should install windos to look after the .inf file?

How should i know which files it is using?

I have only what intel gives me to download
there is no .inf file for the 3945 only two exe's(32bit & 64bit)

Tux_enthusiast,
I have only what intel gives me to download
there is no .inf file for the 3945 only two exe's(32bit & 64bit)

What you probably have is an .exe file is that a self-extracting zip file. try to:
unzip filename.exe

Then you should find a bunch of files, atleast one of which would end in .inf
move these files to a place that all users can access, like /etc/wireless.
Then
ndiswrapper -i /etc/wireless/filename.inf

and to make sure that the driver is loaded in ndiswrapper, use
ndiswrapper -l
Then after the drivers is loaded
modprobe ndiswrapper
After this, Network Manager should take over and auto configure the card.
BTW, All of this is explained in the ndiswrapper How-To provided by Google or can be located at http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/medi ... stallation
