sound not working

sound not working

i recently installed sabyaon 5 in my lap after that i can play my videos but i cant hear sound....any body try to help me :roll:
is ther any procedure?

Hi,
yes, there is a procedure, try to run, as root:
Code: Select all
alsaconf

Before running alsaconf it's usually a good idea to run
Code: Select all
alsamixer

Check to see that all channels are unmuted & your volumes are all up, use your left & right arrow keys to navigate between channels, use your up & down arrow keys to raise/lower volumes, use the " m " key to mute/unmute channels.
If this fails then run
Code: Select all
alsaconf

Just select or ok all the defaults, after alsaconf is finished you will need to run alsamixer again as alsaconf will have changed everything.
