Limited to One Application at a time

Postby jcgg » Mon Dec 28, 2009 2:46

Hi,

I just installed 5.1 Gnome and did the the updates. Now the system limits me to using only one application at a time. So I can open a browser but cannot open a terminal, I can open a terminal but cannot open another application. Also of less importance when Sabayon starts up after the log in screen the background blinks continuously until I try and reboot the system but am stopped by the "Power Management Applet" which tells me it is running and asks me to reboot or cancel. I cancel and the screen stops blinking. I have a Nvidia card installed. Did ps -aux and did not find the same processes running over and over. Any help would be appreciated.

Well I figured out the problem. Nautilus keeps running starting and stopping etc. I killed it. But what file gives Nautilus the go ahead to startup?

Thanks.
