module-hal-detect deprecated [Solved]

Postby lestoil81 » Mon Dec 14, 2009 23:46

Reviewing /var/log/messages today gave message "Pulseaudio[7113]:module.c:module-hal-detect is deprecated: Please use module-udev-detect instead of module-hal-detect. My system running kde4.3/SB5.1(?) is utd as of today. Started SB5.0 in November.
How do I do this? Thx.

Thx joost for reply. /etc/pulse/default.pa
There's a commented line about loading audio drivers statically then "load-module module-alsa-sink"
But this is followed by a line by [email protected]: "Be sure to use line below. load-module module-hal-detect tschedule=0"
This is followed by:
"###Automatically load driver modules depending on hardware available
.ifexists module-udev-detect.so
load-module module-udev-detect
.else"
Then there's a line about static hardware detection module if udev support lacking.
Not sure what to do here. Assuming udev support is included. I use aureal vortex audio module for my sound card. PulseAudio works. Sound is working fine.
Thx again.
