Sabayon 5 Update [Solved]

Postby matknny » Fri Nov 27, 2009 14:41

Just a quick question. How do I update Sabayon effectively for the first time. I installed Sabayon 5 UMPC on my Asus EEE PC 1000. It worked fine but I tried updating equo and its dependices but this make KDE unusable after boot. But I know it all works as I can boot into fluxbox. I have reinstalled it all now, and its all working. But I how do I update and have it working. Do I update it all, or is there something I should do?

Regards,
Matthew Kenny

If you look at this thread you will see that there is a problem with some updates. You may be better off leaving the updates until the thread is marked solved.

I seemed to update it all fine.
I installed as normal but then booted into Fluxbox and in xterm updated everything that way.
I have now booted KDE and updated as normal and all works.
In fact I am now installing on my mail laptop now as well as the EEE.
