Emerge and revdep-rebuild problems.

Post by nobicycle » Tue Nov 24, 2009 2:47

I'm having difficulty working out what is the problem from this emerge output:
ERROR: net-libs/rb_libtorrent-0.14.6 failed:
* econf failed
* Call stack:
* ebuild.sh, line 49: Called src_configure
* environment, line 3174: Called econf '--disable-debug' '--disable-tests' '--disable-examples' '--enable-python-binding' '--with-zlib=system' '--with-asio=system' '--with-boost-system=boost_system-mt' '--with-boost-asio=boost_system-mt' '--with-boost-filesystem=boost_filesystem-mt' '--with-boost-thread=boost_thread-mt' '--with-boost-regex=boost_regex-mt' '--with-boost-python=boost_python-mt' '--with-boost-program_options=boost_program_options-mt'

Secondly I'm not sure how to deal with 4 error files produced by revdep-rebuild
Found existing 1_files.rr
* Collecting complete LD_LIBRARY_PATH
* Found existing 2_ldpath.rr.
* Checking dynamic linking consistency
* Found existing 3_broken.rr.
* Assigning files to packages
* !!! /usr/lib/libSDL_ttf.la not owned by any package is broken !!!
* /usr/lib/libSDL_ttf.la -> (none)
* !!! /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gtkmozembed.la not owned by any package is broken !!!
* /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gtkmozembed.la -> (none)
* Generated new 4_raw.rr and 4_owners.rr
* Found some broken files, but none of them were associated with known packages
* Unable to proceed with automatic repairs.
* The broken files are listed in 4_owners.rr
I would appreciate any pointers.
Best wishes

seems to me that you have a Python problem and no compilation, or a defective ebuild...

please, copy paste your etc/make.conf file (is that given above?, if this, seems to me that your FEATURES variable is too `complicated`)

also copy paste the output of the commands...

Code: Select all

gcc-config -l
eselect python list
if you mixed Entropy with Portage,it is not good using revdep-rebuild command in Sabayon, better use equo libtest && equo deptest commands. Also, do not use emerge python command, prefer equo install python...
