No syslog? [Solved]

Postby XidCat » Sun Oct 18, 2009 17:44

I used KSystemLog, it said no system log found. I went to var/log and I have no system log. Any reason it wouldn't automagically be setup at install? Just installed 5.0 64bit a few days ago.

In gentoo and Sabayon, your general system log is the file /var/log/dmesg. You can configure KDE to use this file instead of its default, /var/log/syslog
