What's the best way to get Sabayon with i3?

Post by invakid404 » Sun May 31, 2020 0:42

Hello everyone, Gentoo user here looking to make the transition to Sabayon. I am interested in installing Sabayon with the i3 Window Manager, that doesn't seem to be one of the default choices. My question is what is the best way to get a clean installation with a manager, that isn't among the listed ones? I'd assume there are two ways, but I am unsure which one's better. I'm considering installing Sabayon Server edition, then manually installing i3, or installing any of the Desktop editions, then uninstalling the manager that came with it. Would any of these approaches work out in the end or is there an easier way? Thank you in advance.
