When you boot the LiveDVD or LivePenDrive, press 'e' at the GRUB menu and append either 'xdriver=nv' or 'xdriver=nvidia' to the end of the kernel boot line then press F10 to boot:

How about if you blacklist the nvidia driver?:

Code: Select all

modprobe.blacklist=nvidia xdriver=vesa
or the nouveau driver?:

Code: Select all

modprobe.blacklist=nouveau xdriver=vesa

Solved.
I installed the latest version of the diary, uninstalled the version of nvida that came with iso, and sent a modprobe in the nouveau driver. It was 100%. Thank you to everyone who helped me in a way.

Another thing, how does the kernel update work? Is the update automatic, or should I upgrade the kernel myself? If it is automatic, how do I not upgrade with the system, I would like to freeze the version on my machine.

Code: Select all

# kernel-switcher --help
See the Sabayon Linux Wiki for how to use the package manager, including how to upgrade the kernel.
