Coming back to Sabayon after some years

Post by Foxblood » Sat Apr 13, 2019 22:16

Hi, All,

I used Sabayon a few years ago. I just installed. What major changes have happened in the meantime?
Intel (R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz 6 GB RAM
GeForce GT320 1024 MB + HDMI
Triple boot --- Sabayon with Xfce, Semplice with Fluxbox, Win 7 with BSOD

Stuff got newer. How long ago?
We generally support systemd as the init system (previously OpenRC was the init system of choice).
We just switched over to dracut.
I think we default to python 3 now?

Other than that, we're still the same rolling release, binary distro that we've always been.
