How to free up some space to complete my update [Solved]

Post by gocool » Sat Nov 18, 2017 13:31

Sorry for this noob question. But when I tried to do an update it complained about insufficient disk space.
I have cleared files from /var/tmp/entropy, but is there anything else I can delete?

This is my disk space usage.

Code: Select all

cinnaminson-sound-room entropy # df -h

If you notice my root folder has only 2.6 gb available.
/dev/mapper/vg_cinnaminsonsoundroom-lv_root 50G 44G 2.6G 95% /

and my /home has more than 100 gb available
/dev/mapper/vg_cinnaminsonsoundroom-lv_home 235G 85G 138G 39% /home

Any help would be highly appreciated.

your /var/tmp/entropy is full
you can remove all its content

Code: Select all

# rm -rf -I /var/tmp/entropy
then

Code: Select all

# equo cleanup
remove all downloaded packages
by default stored to /var/lib/entropy/client/packages/*

and

Code: Select all

# equo cache clean
see

Code: Select all

# equo --help
