Fitzcarraldo, I still have the issue (I cannot "Save as"), but I have no messages starting LibreOffice from terminal.

Code: Select all

[email protected] ~ $ libreoffice
Everything is OK after this command: the GUI shows up nicely.

The below messages I've got at the exact instant I "Save as" a .ODT file, just to change its name:

Code: Select all

W: Unknown node under /registry/extlang: deprecated

I hope someone can spot the bug...

Actually it looks like a bug in Gtk3 3.18.*. The problem seems similar to the following LibreOffice bug report against 5.0.2.2:

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/sho ... i?id=94936

The LibreOffice developers have created a patch to work around the Gtk3 3.18.* problem, so it will eventually find its way downstream into the Entropy binary package.

I have not experienced the problem in my Gentoo installation, probably because I'm not using Gtk3 3.18.* in Gentoo:

Code: Select all

$ eix -Ibc x11-libs/gtk+
[I] x11-libs/gtk+ (2.24.28-r1(2)@23/06/15 3.16.7(3)@13/11/15): Gimp ToolKit +
$ eix -Ibc libreoffice
[I] app-office/libreoffice ([email protected]/11/15): A full office productivity suite
[I] app-office/libreoffice-l10n ([email protected]/11/15): Translations for the Libreoffice suite
Found 2 matches.
(eix is a Portage command, not an SL command, so don't bother trying it.)

I'm pretty sure it is a bug in Gtk3.
Some googling and I found a workaround in https://forum.antergos.com/topic/3089/l ... ng-on-save
I follow the tip from 4ant:
...from the libreoffice menu go to tools/options/general and mark “use libreoffice dialogs”...
It did work for me. Although the interface is not so functional, I can "Save as" and export to PDF flawlessly.
Let's wait for some bug correction.
