nanorc file [Solved]

Post by thirdeye » Tue Dec 30, 2014 17:44

Hi all,

I logged in as root, modified "/etc/nanorc" to convert tabs to spaces and change the tab size to 2 spaces wide. When I edit a text using nano as root, tabs are 2 spaces wide. However, when I edit a text file as an ordinary user, I get the default behavior with tabs. It's like the nanorc file is being ignored. Anyone know the problem?

Thanks.

You have to also edit the nanorc file in your home directory. /home/your-user-name/.nanorc
Sabayon x64 Xfce main
Intel core i5 M-520
linux-sabayon 3.15.0
