Ok, thanks for info.
When I compare with lsmod for my system, I get this:
Then, I assume, that at least your hardware driver module (in my case ath3k) is not loaded.
And of course, btusb is not loaded also.
Exactly, in your 'lsusb' output, I don't see any bluetooth device:
Code: Select all
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 046d:c51b Logitech, Inc. V220 Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 046d:09b0 Logitech, Inc. Acer OrbiCam
Bus 005 Device 004: ID 0bc2:5033 Seagate RSS LLC
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
When no Bluetooth hardware is detected, how it can work? My bluetooth hardware is recognized as:
Code: Select all
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0489:e04e Foxconn / Hon Hai
I have checked for in Google.
So, you say, your bt indicator (the light) is off now. But it should be possible to activate it again, and with activated one, then bt hardware should be recognized and, as all I know, if implemented in Kernel, loaded as module.
So, pls. try to activate your bt by pressing a special button on your laptop, or maybe a combination of keys on your keyboard, maybe in combination Function key+another key. Watch your indicator light.
I have an Acer V3-571G, where my bluetooth is in combination on one chip with wireless. I have 3 status:
2. Wireless On + Bluetooth Off
3. Wireless On + Bluetooth On
My keyboard combination is Fn+ F3, the symbol for Wireless. As I said, try to find your button, your keys.
And then do an:
Check if there is an additional USB device and let us know. And if so, then do an:
Exactly, I really would like to know, why you still have Kernel 3.7. This is no long term Kernel. I would really recommend you to install Kernel 3.10. For 3.11 I don't have enough experience with. But this is btw only.
