lxdm-binary 100% CPU.. [Solved]

Post by pepe999 » Sun May 05, 2013 12:19

Hi all,
I have updated Mate 11 x64 last night and got troubles today after the startup. One of the CPU cores is still running at 100% and the fan too. There was an update for nVidia drivers, Entropy etc.. I have found that it could be a bug. Anyone else with this problem??

pepe999 and Mattlxdesign, did you try the work-around used by loverollingrelease?

That's fixed my lxdm problem now it seems i have a problem with compiz using high cpu time and choopy graphics. Resizing a window results in my system freezing for about 10 seconds before the whole desktop is redrawn one section at a time. I shall continue the research.....

And the Compiz problem was to do with opengl having been set to xorg-x11 instead of nvidia during the upgrade.
Back up and running.
