I don't know much about the default partitioning of the installer. I know it uses lvm, which is nice for an effortless install, but, you might be interested in doing a custom partitioning install. There is a brief procedure on that here:

I look at the / var / log / messages and it said
"cannot update autorizathion file in home dir/home/sabre"
"cannot chdir to sabre home /home/sabre sabre no such file or directory

so. then I mkdir /home/sabre and with chmod give permission to the directory

Achieve login! But lost all personal settings folder as all my files in / home

And I noticed with Kdiskfree that vg_sabre/lv_home is not there

there will be some way to recover lost files and settings ??

Thanks for your answer

If you created a new directory with same name, you overwrite your own previous /home!
I think your files that previously were in there are now lost.
Let's wait someone else, maybe I'm wrong!

Thanks for your answer,

I Recover all the archives and soon I will reinstall the system

the problem is that logical volumen "/dev/vg_sabre/lv_home" dissapeared ,when I login, the system don't mount it, so in etc/fstab I mount it and copy all archives to my new home in "/dev/vg_sabre/lv_root "

I have something wrong with my archives structure and with the permissions

I prefer reinstall de system and partitioned in a different way but I would like to know what was the problem to learn about it
