Panels missing in xfce

Post by crabbos » Sat Mar 02, 2013 16:00

Hi. I've been testing Sabayon 11 xfce on virtual machine on my desktop and it all looks and works nice. I wanted to test it on my laptop mainly because of the fact that it has Optimus support built in. The problem is though, when I boot the live dvd on the laptop both the top and bottom panels are missing. They are actually still there but for some reason have been placed too high and low and dont show on the screen (native resolution is 1366x768). When I go to settings/display it gives me an error saying it can't open display settings.

Any advice would be appreciated.

are you using nvidia-settings? need more info of what error is, check the logs also.
