Hi, on the weekly repository, updates are pushed once a week.
Furthermore, there is no fixed schedule for updates, they are added as they are thought to be stable enough.

The latest available kernel is:
http://packages.sabayon.org/show/linux- ... 5,standard

So I think you're up to date.
Basically, to update your system, you have to run:
(as root)
Code: Select all
equo update
equo upgrade --ask

Or use rigo to do the equivalent job.
If it reports no updates, there are no updates available.

Ok I was a little bit disappointed because on Fedora 18, I have the 3.7.4 kernel...
As Sabayon is a bleeding edge distro, I was thinking that the same kernel would be available...

I just checked Rigo for which Kernel version I have installed (I use SL X with KDE 4.9.5).
Looking for 'Linux Sabayon' I got the result:
Linux Sabayon 3.7.4 is installed.
So, that Kernel is available, though your configuration may decide, you get it offered or not.
If you can find it in Rigo as 'Install' (means not installed yet), but you get it listed in Rigo, you can install it.
I'm not sure, that you need to do a Kernel Switch then. But this I'm not expert for.

I really hope, that by the Brexit (poor Britain), TTIP will be finally prevented. But don't get tired to talk to your local politician to open eyes for danger to democracy because of TTIP
