The english beginners guide has completly changed !
IT's a pity because we just did de/fr translation.
However there are good idea in the new page as it is trying to give straight infromation and tricks for beginners.
The thing is there is no staging (changes have been done on prod page), there is no notification to others pages contributor neither discussions or workflow.
Mainly the tool itself is limited and we have to do this way.
I really think a more editorial capable wiki would be needed if we want to make it more "professionnal" like.

neeeeeh. it was my fault.
for the FAQs i used =FAGs=
but mediaWiki learnes that there aint no =*=
'cause that's reserved for the article title.
This is where i was going wrong..

<<first-level headings are not allowed, their formatting is reserved for the article title. Headings must start from second level, and can be created like this:

==Second-level heading==
===Third-level heading===
====Fourth-level heading====
=====Fifth-level heading=====
======Sixth-level heading====== >>

Fact is, MediaWiki DOES have a problem....
Errors occure too much.
Only this time, i created it myself.
i will keep my eyes wide open, next time.....

manifesto,
yes. Beginners Guide has changed.
And for sure it can be enhanced.
Formerly, Beginners Guide has only just been created, and will still undergo many changes.
The Wiki, especcially EN: is changing al the time.
We're strive for a straight, clean and very understandable Wiki, as soon as possible, but there are many changes to make.
The FAQs, however, is rewritten and done.
I am terribly sorry for the discomfort...

Hm, I can see a discussion section. Maybe because I am Admin …
However, I am in a term of writing exams until March. So as of March I can continue translating the wiki.

Hey, there.
Ubuntuusers.de published an article about the LoCo Translation team on Launchpad. They mention a table of standard translations and Translation Guidelines (German) also.

What about defining similar things for the Sabayon wiki?

I just discovered Sabayon (KDE) for me and was confused about the german localisation of Rigo/Magneto. I was even more surprised when i saw the original english expressions.

While the whole DE is held in a neutral language, Rigo/Magneto sticks out as the class clown. ("I dunno dude, I'd say Yes", "Srsly, ignore!")

So i would suggest to (re-)translate Entropy using the traslation guidelines for a more professional look.

I asked Enlik on IRC today:
Ryuno-Ki > Enlik: What do you say about this? viewtopic.php?p=160036#p160036 - Rochambeau asked me, whether Sabayon has a certain idiom.
Enlik > Ryuno-Ki: the last post?
Ryuno-Ki > Yes. Hence the hash ;)
Enlik > Ryuno-Ki: the hash doesn't help much if the place where it points to can't be placed on top of the browser window because there is no other content (below) to scroll :P
Ryuno-Ki > Enlik: Point for you!
Enlik > anyway, what can I say… yes, those messages are like that, and translators are probably expected to translate it in a similar way (not to change the intent unless the translation would be too hard or something), I think

So, yes, this idiom is intended.
