There should be another answer as I've just installed GLX-Dock, and all the related plugins etc., to see what happens and it works perfectly on my system SLK x86 fully updated.

Thanks but if people post it is not working

A bug can cause it to work on some systems and on others not

That is why I said there should be another answer. I can confirm that it does not work on my AMD64 installation which is SL K fully updated. I get a message saying that no plugins are installed but I can confirm that they have been.

Thank you all for the replies!
I prefer to wait for the update of cairo-dock via Sabayon repository.
I would like to have my system consistent with the default Sabayon repository, because I'm new to this great distro, switching from 6 years of Ubuntu experience.
Thank you again!

Hello again!
I finally got it working. I changed the work path from menu and starting applications to /usr and it is working. Before this, I reinstalled PangoX and cairo-dock.

Thank you all for the support!

Maybe you can explain in detail how you did it for other users?

Hello!
It is a very simple process:
Considering that I have chosen to run Cairo Dock on system startup, I ran System Settings -> Startup and Shutdown. Under "Desktop File" I found the row Cairo-Dock with status Enabled, run on Startup. I clicked on that row and I pressed the properties button. I pressed tab Application. In the field "Work path:" I typed /usr
I pressed OK and (having reinstalled cairo-dock with themes and add-ons and pangox) I did a reboot. I' ve found similar choices at the menu editor, so cairo-dock is running from the menu too.
I hope that this will help you to solve the problem.
