Its VirtualBOx, Xen, Gparted and few other apps as well. im not sure why tis is happening. i go to find the app within the app finder and just by scrolling through the apps and they are no where to be found?

The user who wants to run VirtualBox needs to be in the vboxusers group. Then he is able to run VB and the menu entry System→Oracle xVM VirtualBox gets created. Check the How-To.

For gparted you'll need to edit it's desktop file (or copy it into ~/.local/share/applications/ and edit the copy): /usr/share/applications/gparted.desktop since it contains

Code: Select all

OnlyShowIn=X-NeverShowThis;
Actually I wouldn't bother and would simply run it from root-terminal.

When it comes to xen, you should dig in the wiki and learn how it works, unfortunately, I'm not able to help you there…
