running a scrip for virtualbox to work. "Solved"

Postby pookito » Fri Apr 09, 2010 19:44

This might be obvious for some. Everytime I'like to run VirtualBox I need to sudo modprobe vboxdrv on a konsole. Is there a way to stop doing this? and have it automaticall done everytime I log in to my KDE Environment? Thanks

Hi pookito.
You just need to add the modules to load at startup

Edit (as root) /etc/conf.d/modules file and add this line
Code: Select all
modules="vboxdrv vboxnetflt vboxnetadp"

If you have a line "modules" just add the three VirtualBox modules to the list.
