-create small ext2 primary partition somewhere below 8 GB threshold;
-install SystemRescueCD there, so that Sabayon's GRUB will be chainloaded;
-use Partimage or scripts from this page http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Custom_Stage4
-make stage4 image and keep it. Elsewhere
Update for Sabayon arrives: do equo update && equo upgrade && equo conf update
Update for SystemRescueCd: DONT
-install Win7 on the first partition of HDD, asking Windows Installer not to format all HDD please
So, my idea is just to keep SystemRescueCd on HDD, not mounting it in Sabayon. And never update it!!! And never use any liveCDs, liveUSBs, etc......
I was unable to boot to Sabayon at all, so i don't believe much in eque rescue backup. Will it backup my config files, for example?
