Install Space

Postby parlotti » Tue Apr 06, 2010 11:40

There is something I just don't get with a sabayon install. Why does it need so much space? I just installed it to a 60GB root partition and on first boot I have only 48.5GB free space left. What uses up all the at space? I don't member any OS even Vista that is that space hungry. Usually 8GB is plenty enough for root. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? :|

That seems to be the case. Do you know any easy and safe way to empty it?

Code: Select all
Raptor tmp # ls -ltr

I updated and performed all the above steps. However The huge chunk of missing disk space led me to complain here coz I have done every other thing by the book...
