I have just started with Linux and decided to use Sabayon. I have tried to find antispyware and antivirus programs to protect my computer but have had no luck. Could anyone suggest ones to me

For a common user, you don't need either antivirus or antispyware while using linux.

The debate about virus and linux is endless so instead of make people write few pages with some different points of view, please do a quick research about it using google.

If you really insist to install an antivirus on linux, you could try clamav which is in entropy (see the wiki for package managers usage on Sabayon). But as DHalens says, you generally don't need such a thing. As long as you don't use the "root" account for daily use, I say you are almost 100% protected.
