How do I install all my packages from repo in one command?

Postby smitty654 » Wed Mar 17, 2010 11:47

Is there a way to emerge or use one tool that will add all the packages that I like that I downloaded from the repository and now on my DVD before I installed Sabayon? I don't want to install them individually. I want them installed in one command. Just so you know, these are tbz2 (and checksum) files that I want to transfer from the DVD on to a local repository on my hard drive and install them locally. TIA for your answers.

I haven't tested it but should work:
Code: Select all
for i in `ls`; do equo install --nodeps $i; done

Also (and probably a better option), just copy the packages to /var/lib/entropy/packages/amd64/5/ (or maybe x86 instead of amd64) so entropy will see them as downloaded by itself.
