USB modem not available for user

Post by barathee » Sun Dec 13, 2009 15:13

Sabayon Users and developers,
Thanks for giving a cuuuuuttttte distro. I got it with Linux For You magazine, this month.

I have a USB wireless modem (Huawei EC1260) which works well on root login. But not to for the user. If I login as a user, it says modem not found.

Here is my dmesg output and user credential screenshot.

Will you please tell me how to solve this issue. I dont want to bug my system by working with root credential always :(

what version is this?

we haven't used those colors in your screen shot in a long time, may want to get 5.1 which is latest and greatest. It's tough to support old releases as thing move along pretty quickly.

If sudo works for you, go with it.
