brightness bug

brightness bug

hi there, im new to sabayon trying before moving fron ubuntu im currently testing form the live cd, i have a msi wind u100 with some modifications, and heres the deal
sabayon 5 with gnome for x86 started via live cd with its brightness at 100% and when i tried to change it, it started to flicker, with no stop untill i kill the process of the power manager, is this a known bug, because i didnt find anything about it
if it is, how can i fix it?
and if not, what can i try?

Don't have your netbook, but have you tried Googling it + "brightness"? Try the work-around for brightness control given in the following opneSUSE forum thread, which may work for you: Installing openSUSE 11.0 on MSI Wind U100 -- Report.
