What do you see when you enter the lsusb command?

And what do you see when you enter the dmesg command?

Any error messages in /var/log/messages file?

Any error messages in /var/log/Xorg.0.log file?

How many USB ports do you have in total, apart from the 5-port D-Link DU-520 card? Looking at your /var/log/messages file it appears you have more than just the 5 USB 2.0 ports on the D-Link card.

I have 4 motherboard port plus 2 usb port in front panel.
But the front usb port is usb 1.1, not usb 2.

I want plug the USB 2.0 Front Panel Hub/Card Reader (into a 5.25-inch bay of my desktop PC )to internal dlink usb 2 port so i have two frontal usb 2 port.

Try the following command as root user in a Konsole/Terminal window:

Code: Select all
modprobe asix

If that doesn't work, try:

Code: Select all
rmmod asix
modprobe usbnet

If that doesn't work, try:

Code: Select all
rmmod usbnet
modprobe asix
modprobe usbnet

And if you find one of those combinations works, add the module(s) to /etc/conf.d/modules so that it(they) is(are) loaded every time you boot.

That's a shame. It's a pity you couldn't get it working. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
