Noob developer

Post by knosence » Tue May 23, 2017 0:51

Hey guys,
I am really trying to get into developing and wanted to do some contributing to the open source community. Of course, I would have to contribute to the distro that I use. Would any vets or seasoned developers give this noob some projects that would be perfect for beginners? Thanks yall!!!

As far as development goes, a distro isn't really the place. You're better off finding an open source application (the simpler the easier to get into) and go at it that way.

Most distro work is about package maintenance, applying (but generally not writing) patches, and lots of testing and bug reporting.

That would be my opinion of the matter.
