binutils and windres

Post by nomorelogic » Fri Mar 27, 2015 13:13

hi all

reference
https://packages.sabayon.org/show/binut ... -show-what

I noticed that in the package binutils, windres is missing (gun reference: http://www.gnu.org/software/binutils/).
I need windres, is possible to have an update for this package?

Thanks in advantage.

thank you for reply

I installed cmake but windres is still unavailable

executing (as root):
# cd /usr
# find|grep windres

I can found:
./share/binutils-data/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/2.23.1/man/man1/windres.1.bz2
./share/cmake/Modules/Platform/CYGWIN-windres.cmake
./share/cmake/Modules/Platform/Windows-windres.cmake
./portage/media-sound/xmms2/files/xmms2-0.7DrNo-windres-build-fix.patch
./portage/dev-libs/openssl/files/openssl-1.0.0d-windres.patch

I know I could install compiling from gnu source but I'm afraid I might have conflict in the system.

Thanks again
