I think the command is "equo cleanup [-h]" or "equo cleanup" something like that, the command should Clean up the downloaded packages and remove temporary directories.

For more info look here: https://wiki.sabayon.org/index.php?titl ... _Functions
Sabayon Linux MATE 64-bit
Gigabyte G41M-ES2L-->2gb ram
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.60ghz-->E5300
WD-6400AAKS-Caviar-SE16-640gb-->XFS filesystem

equo upgrade --purge, removes unmaintained packages
equo unusedpackages, I don't know what "unused" means, because it lists packages from world

By "orphans" I think OmegaSW means orphan packages not files.
emerge --depclean -> "Cleans the system by removing packages that are not associated with explicitly merged packages."

emerge --depclean ????
i don't think he's messing around with Portage., or has a
Portage only system.
equo cleanup would be more appropriate....

Maybe he/she used Gentoo before and wants Sabayon's alternative to "emerge --depclean".

I got to this topic by searching for the same thing. How do I remove the packages no longer used. If I want to remove xbmc how do I remove its dependencies that are not needed by other packages?
"equo cleanup" removes downloaded binary packages from /var/lib/entropy/client/packages not packages from the system.

What does the "--norecursive" option do?
What about the "--deep" option? It shows more packages.
